KWiCFinder is a tool to assist you with on-line research by: - helping you formulate a focused query

- retrieving online documents which match your search criteria and and excerpting them to display your Key Words in Context
- saving local copies of downloaded documents for later evaluation and reference

Search engines strive to maximize the number of hits. In contrast, KWiCFinder helps you maximize the relevance and usefulness of the documents returned.
After each search KWiCFinder produces a report showing excerpts of matching online documents with your search terms highlighted in context. These interactive reports can be redisplayed in various layouts and languages, and the user can edit and annotate them, then export them to HTML files (web pages) for further study.
System requirements:
- Pentium class processor, min. speed 100 MHz, min. 16 MB RAM
- Windows 98 / ME / 2000 / XP operating system
- On Windows 2000 or XP it may require installation by a user with "administrative privileges"
- Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher is required for complete range of features
- At least 4 MB free space on hard drive during installation, plus additional space for downloaded web pages and search reports
